Hello Josщ,
What kind of aristolochia are you talking about? Which species? I have tried germinating Aristolochia gigantea in a normal pot and I had success. Although I'm from Madeira island so the weather there is different than yours. I'd recomend potting in a good compost that is airy and light, kept just slightly moist but not wet, and then enclosure the pot with some kind of clear lid with just a couple holes on it to create a micro-climate inside the pot for the plants to grow well on their first phase.

I have had success with aristolochia as well as many other seeds by placing them on damp vermiculite in a clear plastic container and leaving on a windowsill, i use the plastic containers which you get chinese takeaway in. I have also had good success by just throwing the seeds on top of the soil inside my greenhouse, i then leave them there until they reach a good size before potting them up, this way i lose very few seedlings.
