hi i have read somewhere on the site that trades go on in bulk where multiple people send seeds to 1 person a date is chosen by when all the seeds have to be posteed by and when all the seeds are there they are then sent out to the people who sent the seeds in, i would host this if anyone would like to do this we could say all seeds posted by end of nov, and in the evenlope put in a label with your address on inside evenlope with seeds to be stuck over the address with the same amount of postage stamps inside that you put on the outside if you are interested let me know and i will list here the few last simple details.thanks Penny.

Hi Penny,
I would love to join in... and I am sure you will get lots of replies!
Just let us know the final date (if 30th Nov) and any other "rules"
Thanks for doing this - it really helps us new gardeners!
Sue

RE: WANTED: round robbin, if thats what it is called

Crazy Lady of Norfolk has just done a seed swap but you can count me in on yours too. A Round Robin is rather different, someone puts x packets of seed in a box and that is then sent to the next person on the list who withdraws x packets and replaces them with another x packets. If I take two out I have to put two back and then post it on to the next person on the list. A seed swap is individuals sending x amounts of packets of seed and then receiving x amount of different packets in return - in the case of Crazy Lady, x packets + quite a few more!! I organised a swap last January on the Spanish speaking forum (following Crazy Lady's system and thanks, Mary!) I frequent and I think all participants had a great time. You never know what you will get!!! This year I advertised Crazy Lady's swap on the said Spanish forum and I know a few participated and are very happy with the results. I will be doing another swap on the Spanish forum (www.inforjardin.com) in the New Year.

ok well how would you like to do it would you like to send the seeds to me and i make sure everyone gets different seeds + a few extra in return or would you like to send them round taking out the amount you put in, we could do a closing date of 1st Dec say 15 seeds apack you can send as many packs as you like, and i promise to give everyone extra seeds from my own seed boxs as i could do with a bit of a clear out, i would have all seeds sorted and posted back out by 3rd DEC, put as much info (or as little) as you know on each pack, and if you only have a few or unusal seeds send in multiples of 5's, if any one wants to join please join the more people the more variety of seeds, also when you send your seeds please write a brief note with name, address (so i can double check b-4 sending) email address and a wish list of no more than 5 differnet types of seeds as i will try to make sure every one gets at least 1 packet thats on there wish list,i will start sending emails to everyone who wants to join in from monday 19th nov, with address to send them to,also try to incourage others to join so then you have more chance of getting all the seeds on your want list. Penny. let me know if this sounds ok with everyone or if there is anything you want to add you can, all seeds should be as well protected to be posted as possible..
