Please excuse the use of English as my Italian is not good.
I hope to purchase a property in Southern Lazio with 70 olive trees! They do not grow in the Northern UK! Can anyone recommend a book on Olive cultivation in English? |

Dear Adam, Try the International olive oil council at www.internationaloliveoil.org they have various publications in english including the world olive encyclopaedia and the world catalogue of olive varieties. A good book by Giorgio Bargioni is called L'olivo e la sua coltivazione but i have no idea if it has been translated into english. The website www.informatoreagrario.it contains good books including the above mentioned on anything to do with agriculture in Italy and also have a monthly magazine but all in Italian. When you've found out how to cultivate olive trees maybe you can tell me how to prune mine (just the one) properly, it's four years old now but i daren't touch it. Hope this helps. Karen. P.s. see you on the uk garden web |

| Good for you!! I hope you have a great deal of success and I wouldn't stop looking for books in English. We have a store called Chapters here in Ontario and they have everything under the sun written in English. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for in time. |
