I started a blog on my Florida yard, trials in germinating seeds, and growing all different types of palms and plants. I am very new to this so any tips are appreciated. I hope you enjoy it and comeback often. So here is the link.

Here is a link that might be useful: My yard in Fort Pierce Florida

Hey man, you've done a good work over there.I'm jealous for your climate.I'm just as crazy for Acacias though. But my climate 8a doesn't allow much.

I don't know if you know that already, but you can germinate your palm seeds more quickly with the following method.Put a sandpaper on a table.Since theseeds are big enough keep one each time in your fingers. Then try to scratch one tip of the seed scrubing it on the sandpaper until the cotyledons start to appear. You have to do it diligently so as to avoid hurting the embryo inside the seed.
In this way your seeds are going to absorb water faster and the enzymes inside them will get them germinated immediately, without waiting for the wood outside the seed to decompose.

Good luck
