growing capers

I live in Alora, Andalucia, with a mediterranean climate and I have a very high sloping concrete wall over which I would like to grow Capers (capparis spinosa) but I have read that they are difficult to establish. Can anybody offer me any advice, or seeds please?

Here is a link that might be useful: around alora

RE: growing capers

Sherill, I've got seeds from last years flowers. I have a GW contact in the UK who wants to grow them for his butterflies, so send seeds every year. I don't know if he has had any luck germinating them, I understand they are very difficult. They grow wild in my area but have tried digging up a root to send to the UK and they seem to like the rockiest sites - even after the little rain we've had this winter I couldn't get one up. Let me know your address (you can PM via My Page) and I'll send some seeds to you.
