Cascading flowers

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and am very excited to see there are so many helpful people out there willing to share their knowledge. I hope I can reciprocate at some time. I have recently moved into a house that is front line beach, south facing and want to grow something that will cover the front of the house, preferrable bougainvillia. Problems are that I have no soil at the front of the house and cannot leave pots there. Is it possible for me to grow bougainvillia, geraniums or some other colourful variety in pots from the roof terrace that will cascade down one story of the house? Thanks. Fred

RE: Cascading flowers

Hi Fred, Welcome to the forum. I live 40 Km inland from Malaga, in Alora, and I too usually have a smile on my face!

I think you could grow Bougainvillia and trailing Geraniums as you suggest. Bougainvillia is happy to be pot-bound, just make sure to secure the growth somehow as they do not like much disturbance.
