growing grass in sand

| i live on the beach front in spain and my land is all sand im trying to seed my land there is a type of grass already planted it grows like a vine and makes a strong support above the sand but it dies off quickly even with regular watering, i need an inexpesive solution , ive put a costa seed down and it grew nicely but when you mow the lawn the mower just digs down into the sand and rips up the grass by its roots. |
