Buying palm trees in Portugal

I will be buying a house on the Silver Coast above Lisbon next year after re-locating from East Sussex, England,
where i have several large potted palms, cordylines and phormiums in my garden. Is it possible to buy these architectural plants in Northern Portugal or should i take them with me? If they are available, are they reasonably priced? |

| Palm trees are probably the most sought after and popular trees at the moment here and just about any new build boasts a couple... All garden centres that I know of carry quite a few different ones. Phormiums are also relatively easy to come by , just not so sure about cordylines, but I'm sure larger garden centres will carry them as well. I'm not familiar with garden centres in the Silver Coast, since I live in a different part of the country, but I suspect they will carry them as well, as there are surprisingly few differences in what's offered for sale in centres around my area of residence, a trend I believe to be the same across the country. Of course, if you have rare specimens and/or plants with a sentimental value attached to them, it would pay off to bring them with you, otherwise I wouldn't bother. Hope this helps Eduarda |
