May be I was wrong to post in Spanish but Mediterranean should be open also Mediterranean languages anpart English !

I would propose and extensive meaning of Mediterranean gardening , not only for climate but also for culturees and countries !

I think this forum can be one of the most interesting among many others !
Opened to all countries of the north and South of Mediterranean Sea , it is not easy to find Gardener friends from Greece and Mid East all together !!

Do you agree in trying it ? Any idea ?

Un foro Mediterraneo in senso lato , proviamo ?

Che cosa ne pensate ? Idee suggerimenti ?
Varie lingue Francese,Spagnolo,Portoghese,Italiano.....................
o semplicemente Inglese gicchè Greco Arabo Ebraico Croato Turco...sono meno facili per noi !

a presto !!!

Ciao orto-jardin e grazie mille.

I would very much like to communicate with gardeners from all the countries of the Mediterranean, as you say. From Portugal, Spain, france, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.

We all have much to share.

Hello!

Isos boro na grapso sta Ellenika ala ta milao san paidaki!
Maybe I could write in Greek but I speak it like a toddler!

Boroume na krisimopoioume "google translate". To kano mazi me ta parea mou kamea fora - pd. Danika.
We can use "google translate". I use it with friends sometimes - eg. Danish.

Now - in English, sorry - how do we cope in the hot season of July and August when our plants go into stasis? When the temperature rises above 35C the roots stop taking up anything including water. Which means that your plants can be over-watered and the roots can rot at the same time as being too dry! It is a challenge.

Depends on what plants you mean. Some need summer baking, like several bulbs, thus should not be watered. Others need water to keep going. I water at night when it's cooler. Have never had any trouble with that.
