Addresses for seed of native Greek plants

Posted by janus59 (My Page) on

I am very much interested in Greek plants used for making tea and other culinary purposes. Among these are several Salvia species, e.g. S. fruticosa and several S. pomifera varieties, Sideritis and Origanum species that are native for Greece. Unfortunately, I have not been able so far to find addresses of Greek nurseries where I can mail order seeds of these plants. Is there anyone who can help me?

Kind regards, Janus

Hi
Here is a site selling seeds of some herbs native in the Mediterranean countries, but I don't know which ones are endemic to Greece though.

Hi janus and a happy new year.
Unfortuantely i don't know of any nursery in Greece that can ship seeds of the plants you need. That is because they are mostly wild plants, not cultivated.
If you would like, you can send me your adress at katerinabat@hotmail.com and i will send you all the herbs i can along with some instructions.
