| When I visited the Olympic Museum in Lausanne in early June, 1999, I saw an extraordinary rose espaliered against a low wall and also being grown on a pergola on the grounds as one approached the entrance to the Museum.
It is a single, species or near species rose with waxy-petaled, large white flowers and almost plum red new foliage. It is very vigorous, producing large basal canes, and displays formidable armature. Overall, a rose of great "presence"!
I would appreciate assistance from someone who also may have seen this rose and can furnish some clue as to its identity. I contacted the Olympic Museum but was unable to get any information.
