Red and White roses

I am looking for 2 climbing dark velvety red and 2 climbing pure white roses, to go up a south facing trellised wall in my garden.
I also need a good dark red rose bush to go between them.
Specifically I'd like the roses to be hybrid tea shaped, strongly scented and vigorous. I can put up with spraying if neccesary... I have been looking at so many I'm totally confused- at the moment I'm leaning towards Etoile de Hollande, White Cockade and Mrs Herbert Stevens, with either Ingrid Bergman or Velvet Fragrance for the central bush. The other climbing reds I'm considering are Crimson Glory, Ena Harkness, or Guinee (I hear this is hard to grow) can anyone who has grown these or has suggestions for others let me know! many many thanks...

Hello,
I wouldn't advise Guinee for she needs a bit of a warm climate.E.Harkness climbing and étoile de hollande can be a good choise keeping in mind that they have a stiff habit.
Ingrid Bergman will not give you the perfume you desire. Perhaps a Papa meilland. Lots of luck.

Hi Kaatje
Thank you for your advice, I heard that Ingrid Bergman is very scented, but I know that rose catalogues can exaggerate! I'll have a look at Papa Meilland,

Gayle

My choice would be:
Etoile de Hollande (an excellent classic)

Sympathie (Sympathy)by Kordes 1964, ADR winner, a virgorous grower with continuous blooming and strong fragrance.

Mrs Herbert Stevens (classic with great character and beauty)

Ilse Krohn Superior - by Kordes 1964, pure white, strong fragrance

And one of these bush roses:

Barcarole - this is my favourite red, with strong fragrance

Also Papa Meilland is said to be one of the most beautiful fragrant red bushroses.

Crimson Glory is known for it´s very strong fragrance

Dear Gayle. this is what I would suggest. In my opinion this would be the best choice.

Tell us how you decided!

(forgive my austrian-style english)

RE: Red and White roses

Thanks so much for the advice Bea and Kaatji, I think I have finally decided on my climbers. I'm planning to order these roses next week:

Ilse Krohn Superior
White Cockade
Etoile De Holland
Sympathie

I really wanted to get Papa Meilland as my central bush rose having heard so many recommendations of it, but as it is not hardy I thought it would be impractical. I am still considering, maybe Velvet Fragrance or an english rose called 'Tradescent' which looks lovely.

Thanks again!
Gayle

@Gayle
Who said, PapaMeilland was not hardy?
In which zone are you living?
I never heard this bevore. How cold will it be at your place in winter?
Greetings,
Bea
