Does anyone have experience with this rose ?
Is it floriferous and disease resistant ?

RE: climbing HANDEL

I used to have a Climbing Handel rose about 15 years ago. It was a rose that I mistakingly treated as a spreading climber, so I planted it along a low split-rail fence. Boy was that the wrong way to display it! Handel is better classified as a pillar rose, and grew about 2 m tall for me, with blooms that are clustered near the tips of the canes. The individual bloom as I recall did not have a large petal count though the blooms were an attractive rose and white (bicolour). I don't recall any particular scent either. However, to its credit, it had good disease resistance. Though I did enjoy growing it, I think there are many better climbers out there.
