Garden travel in France

I am currently planning a trip to France in late June this year. Is this a good time to go?

On the list are Giverny, Bagetelle and La Roseraie de l'Haÿ-les-Roses.
We plan about 4 days in Paris including the day trip to Giverny and then we would like to travel to the countryside for 3 days, perhaps Avignon or Lyon? Any tips or ideas? Maybe this trip would wet our whistle for a future trip in the French countryside. thanks- merci

If you really love roses, I advise you to visit the garden "Les chemins de la rose" in
Doué la Fontaine (http://www.cheminsdelarose.fr/)
And still "Park floral la Source" in Orleans. Especially in June, it is very beautiful.

Here is a link that might be useful: Mon jardin des roses
