what is the best soil for roses in pots ?

what is the best soil for roses in pots ? I use 50% garden soil + 25% turf + 25% perlite + a litle manure, but I have very poor results (flowers and leaves), any advice ?

| Gardener and Bloom Rose Planting Mix works great. I've used it for years. |

| This American planting mix most likely can't be found in Greece. Roses like clay soil but in pots you also need something to lighten up the clay. I should have thought perlite would work well. Greek friends grow wonderful roses in pots on their roof in Maroussi, even tall climbers. They use a bagged soil so I suggest you ask at a local nursery about the best mix for roses. |
