DA's Teasing Georgia

I purchased DA's Teasing Georgia today. The tag says that it grows about 3' tall and wide but that it can be trained as a small climber. I saw on the web somewhere that it can reach 8'. I don't know under what conditions so I am wondering if it will get tall enough for a 7 1/2 foot obelisk I made last week.

Does anyone know about the growth habit of this rose and its max height? Also, how do you train a 3' tall bush into a climber?

Thanks so much. These forums are the best source of info on roses. I love them.

Toula,
I live in SC and have 2 Teasing GA's. Both are at least 5-6 feet in length! I thought it would be small also. But am getting ready to pu them on a small arbor due to the length and they keep wanting to lay on the ground. THey were both planted in mid June! too!

Hope this helps some!

Hi,

Mine is about 15 feet tall, if you stretch her out. She's climbing a 10 foot arbor~ Geoff Hamilton is on the opposite and is just as big. But then again, I'm in zone 8b, southern Mississippi. (But they are NICE).
