If it grows well over there....

I am going on vacation in about two weeks. Part of our holidays are visiting family that live in Campbell River, British Columbia. My mum in law, a former Londoner, says Campbell River is very similar in climate to England. Temperate climes, ocean near bye, generous rainfall. I was going to bring her a couple roses as a hostess gift: Souvenir du Dr. Jamain, Kathleen Harrop (a sport of Zephirine Drouhin), and Harlequin/Kiss of Desire. Does anybody there in the UK have any success with these or am I going to be giving my mum in law the "black spot" curse?
