Leggy alba roses

My alba roses - Celestial are more than 7 feet high and need to be reduced. If I prune them to half their height in winter will I lose the flowers for next year?

RE: Leggy alba roses

No Celestial will probably flower next summer even if you cut a lot. When I cut my albas (Maidens Blush, Maxima) they start bloom at least three weeks later than usual, and perhaps not as abundantly.
