does anybody here know anything about this rose? It has been bred by the German Egender. There is supposed to be one of it in Rosarium Sangershausen but that is all I could find!
The history of this rose is very romantic as Mr Egender once saw a photograph of the russian princesse and had been immediately thrilled by her outstanding beauty so that he dedicated this rose to her. Even he was not successful in winning her heart he sent huge bouquets of this rose to her wedding! This all happened in the thirties of last century.
So maybe somebody here can provide some more information about this rose??
