Hello! I visited Garden Web for the first time today and the first thing I saw was your question (had to register to be able to answer of course); which I have the answer to, because it is a very common springflower here in Sweden too. It is called "vitsippa" in swedish and in latin Anemone nemorosa. Mostly a woodland flower but I also have it in my garden in the city. They can be pinkish too and some even blue (but I think the blue are cultivated). In my garden I have yellow ones, called "gulsippa" or Anemone ranunculoides. Hope you are satisfied with my answer. Merry Christmas! |
