| Hello I am new on here, only just joined, but I thought I would write and tell you about the Paulownia tree I grew from seed! My advice to you if you are growing it in the UK, is to sow quite a lot of seed in a tray and even if they don't show any growth for weeks and weeks, don't throw them out, if you just keep an eye on the tray and keep the seeds watered ,eventually they will come through, I don't have a greenhouse so had to put the tray in our back porch which is unheated, after quite a while I had 4 seeds sprout, I lost one but the other three florished! 2 I gave away, and kept one, it is now after 3yrs over 10ft high, and the leaves are wonderful as big as shovels!! keep the seedlings in a pot when they are big enough and when all the frost is gone put them out during the day but bring them in at night, until at least the end of May, then you can leave them out all the time, by next yr they should be big enough to plant out in their final place! We live in North West Wales. Good Luck! |
