moving victoria plum tree

I planted a 5 foot victoria plum tree 2 years ago on a dwarf root stock. i now have to move do you think it could be transplanted?

How soon do you have to move it? The best procedure is to prepare it this winter by digging a slit trench round the rootball in order to encourage the production of lots of fibrous roots that you can move with the tree, then do the actual moving next winter.
