| Just a suggestion, why not get her one of the better tasting ones and tell her she can eat the fruit. Splendens would be the nicest but not entirely hardy in most of the UK. Globosa taste quite nice, gracilis and Riccartoni are said to be tasty as are magellanica and coccinea. There are lots of others with nice tasting fruit and all Fuchsia have edible berries and flowers. Also there's Excorticata from NZ which will become a tree in time or the trailing Procumbens with it's upright flowers. Sorry I can't help with her name though, I grow them for taste. :D |
