Taking Cuttings

Posted by jankin EssexUK (My Page) on

At an extremely advanced age I confess that I have never taken a cutting - but I really need to know how to do it now.
A house down the road has in its front garden the most deliciously perfumed spring blossom I have ever known - I'll have to look up name again - the house has been sold and I'm worried the rather untidy tree will be cut down.
The buds are out now - blossom comes April/May -
is it the right time to try and take a cutting and what is the best way to do it?
All advice welcome
Thnks

RE: Taking Cuttings

First thing is to find out what it is - some plants root from cuttings very easily, others are impossible.

Can you post a close-up photo of the flowers?
