| They are a relatively new pest but made it into the RHS's top ten pest enquiries pretty quickly. They only became a problem for me about 2 years ago but did a lot of damage before I noticed them. They are quite pretty beetles in adult form, they look bronze from a distance but closeup they have purple and green stripes going along the length of their body. Their larvae have grey stripes. The info on the following page doesn't have very good pictures but it does give you an idea of the way they have spread. |
