Garden events in London and the South East

I am a student doing a postgraduate diploma course in web design and development at Birkbeck College, London. The course involves creating a website, I have chosen to do one on garden events in London and the South East. I have created a test version of the site, which is called Go alfresco, at http://lburg08.wdd0607.bbkweb.org/go_alfresco/index.html. I would be very grateful if you would have a look at the site, and then complete a short questionnaire about it. You'll find the survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=286153644875, and it shouldn't take you more than ten minutes at most to complete. I need to warn you that the Add an event form doesn't work yet and that the date pages from November 2007 through to March 2008 are blank.
Lastly, if you know anyone else who might be interested in this sort of site, I would be very grateful if you would forward this e-mail to them. I need all the feedback I can get. As I am doing all this for an assignment that needs to be submitted at a specific date, I would be very grateful if you could fill out the questionnaire by Sunday 29 April at the latest.
Thank you very much for your help
Suzanne

| Hello Suzanne Because of my own lack of knowledge regarding web design, I can't contribute much in the way of constructive feedback. However, I have taken a look and immediately like it's simplicity. I know that is an art in itself... as most people (like my son for example), like to design a website that is flashy with too much info on one page. Because you have kept it neat and simple, it loads and responds quickly. The navigation is direct / uncomplicated. The colours used make reading easy. Is this just a 'one off' Suzanne, or will you maintain the site once your project has been completed? I would use it!!! Kaz |

| I live in Sweden and visit Britain irregularly. My latest visit was in October 2006 and I am going again next month. I was asking about garden events in London on the uk.gardenweb quite recently. If there were a site like yours I would check it before every visit to London. It would help me to find new events and not only those organized by RHS. As a member I can always find them. |
