I have a shrub in my garden that I think is choisya. It was here when we moved in so is at least 15 years old.The problem is that it never flowers and never has done.Is there anything I can do to encourage flowers? It looks healthy but strangely it seems to be a combination of green leaves ,variegated leaves and yellow leaves so which variety it is -who knows? I have never pruned it.

RE: choisya

Might have been a Sundance (yellow) cultivar at one time. That cultivar does not flower as profusely as the species but should still flower. You can cut old plants back hard right now and they should respond with vigour. Pruned plants may flower in late summer instead of spring.
