Will peonies cope with cold snap ?

As a cold snap is on its way I am wondering if I need to protect newly emerging peonies with something. One of them, "Sorbet", only sends up one leaf per year; will it ever grow big and flower ? The other is ok, it grows well and has a carmine flower.

They'll be fine.

Sorbet I don't know. Is it new? Peonies can take their time getting established, just be patient because they'll last forever and just get better every year. Follow the basic rules, plant at the correct depth, mulch around the plant but don't bury the crown, fertilize but don't give too much nitrogen.
