I've just been trying to create a thread in the European Exchange Forum and it keeps telling me to register, is it just me or is this happening for others too?

Go ahead and register. It won't bite. I had to register to reply to your post. From your lack of information in your profile, you seem a bit paranoid. Open your shades, but keep the door locked.

Bottan, it has nothing to do with paranoia, us Brits aren't as free with information as you Americans, we don't always want or feel the need to share our personal details with others.

Baal is a long term poster on this board and I think she is asking is if anyone else who is already registered and signed in is being asked to register again on wanting to post on the European exchange boards she is being asked to.

Thanks Deeds1! It wants me to sign in on the exchange pages but won't actually allow me to make a thread. I'll have to try again next week.

Botann

If I wasn't already signed in I would not have been able to create a thread in the first place. I don't know why you think it's OK to insult someone you've had no previous contact with, nor, frankly, am I interested, that is entirely your choice to make but it is also a good way for people to make as false an assumption about you as you have made about me.

I don't have to qualify my choice to remain as anonymous as possible in a public setting, suffice to say that it was due to Garden Web, it's lack of privacy and it's popularity that I did remove my previous profile and changed my member name, I've been here longer than the July 2001 as stated on my profile.

I am not sure if I am missing any thing but is this still the Gardening in the United Kingdom list.
I did try to get a new friend on to the list and he had to have a post code that come from the USA.
I suppose I'm getting old
Hope you all had a joyful Easter
regars. Arthur

arthurdk, I thought it was gardening in the UK too.
I find it increasingly difficult to do anything on this site if it doesn't involve the USA - maybe we in Europe have been deemed as a state of America by someone:-))
Here's a great website that likes regional differences, some very nice people too, pop and say Hello.

Here is a link that might be useful: Garden Buddies

Hi I thought this was a UK forum as well and I don't see why anyone should be forced to put more in the profile than they want to. It's not paranoia it's privacy a common Britsh trait and one I fully support. Reminds me must check my profile!!!
