I have a friend in England who I would like to send some seeds to. What do I need to do as far as packaging etc.? My friend has never gardened before so I'm sending her seeds to get her going. Any info. you can give me would be great as I am in the US.
Blessed Be,
J'Lynn

There's nothing special you need to do if they're ordinary garden seeds. Just use common sense - use a padded or bubble mailer, and send them airmail to minimise the risk of damage in the post. Label the packets with the correct botanical name, so if Customs do open the packet, they can see what's there. You can write something like 'Garden Flower Seeds - No Commercial value' on the envelope if you like, or use a green Customs Label. You don't need a Phytosanitary Certificate or permit. We don't have any special requirements for small amounts of seed as would be sent from one gardener to another.
