Non flowering wisteria

Hello

We have two wisteria one at either end of the house. Both are well established (20-30 years old). Normally both flower beautifully at this time but this year they both seem to have been sent into a state of suspended animation. The nascent flower buds are there but have not grown and are now simply falling to the ground without opening up. There are 6-12 full flowers on each one - these flowers are without exception situated underneath the foliage of adjoining climbing roses. Would I be correct in thinking that a late frost has put paid to the flowering this year (I live in Kent). I pruned in February as always.

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks

Tim

I'm in Kent also and frosts damaged my wisteria, oleander, fig tree and arum lilies; hopefully your wisteria will recover next year.

Sounds like it :(

It took all the fun out of my Deutzia too, just glad it was only the one sharp shock

The good news is failing to flower this year will put the heebie jeebies into it and it'll probably flower like mad next year :)
