Dicksonia antartica Tree fern

| Thank you for your reply about the decreasing circumference of my tree fern crown. I have increased the watering as Kayman suggested, but he also suggested using water-retaining gel. Should this be placed in the crown or in the pot the tree fern is planted in? |

| I'd meant for you to add it to the potting compost. Not sure how well placing it in the crown would work. You might also try feeding it by adding a little slow-release fertiliser directly into the crown. |

| My tree fern is loosing its fronds. They droop at first then fall. The DA is 6 years old and has always produced about a dozen 6 foot fronds. Any ideas what could be causing this guys? |
