Rabbit Fodder

Posted by nickcharlton (My Page) on

I am looking for a vegetable/herb which can easily be grown tightly in a small bed, which can be used as fodder for rabbits.

I currently feed them supermarket purchased Spring Greens; but I would like to take over from this and grow my own.

Does anyone have any ideas of which I could use?

Nick

Lettuce, Dandelions and Primulas are all popular.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Apart from Romain Lettuce they don't go down that well.

I have tried Dandelions before but they don't quite give me the density that I'd like. I'll look into Primulas though.

Through a bit of other research I have found that Mustard and Clover greens could be a possibility, so I'll most probably give them a go too.
