I am very proud of my lily bulblets. I propagated them fom scales in damp vermiculite in the airing cupboard for 5 months[forgot them actually]They are doing well in a tray of ordinary compost outside and are ready for potting on. my question is what medium do I pot them in?
I have no poly tunnel or glass, and would like to keep them outside all year like their parents.

I'd use a non-soil mix with excellent drainage and I'd give routine liquid feeds - dilute, over the in-leaf growing season.

They'd probably be sheltered from hot afternoon sun until they were bigger and when they had a cluster of scales of their own I'd plant them up as if they were adult.

If they hadn't developed over the summer I'd try for another in-pot season.
