Covering Manholes in your garden

Why do we put up with manholes in our garden? Every time I walk past the manhole in my lawn I seethe with upset, my garden is so pretty neat and tidy but right in the middle of it there is a manhole that is so ugly. I spend hours cultivating my garden so that in all seasons I can enjoy it and relax in a beautiful colourful space that makes me feel at peace with myself and the world. That is until I glance across my perfect lawn and see a grey shiny metallic object in it. I have tried to hide it with a planter and all sorts of garden objects however having a large object in the middle of my lawn it is not very practical. When choosing to subtly ignore the manhole and leave it alone I found myself slipping and flying in all directions when I inadvertently trod on it in the wet, I was lucky I didn’t break my neck. Can you imagine my joy when I finally found a solution. I was visiting a friend and having a drink in her beautiful garden when she asked me whether I noticed anything different in it? I asked her whether she had planted an array of new flowers, she smiled and said no, after a while and tiring of the game I had to give up, where upon she walked over her perfectly manicured lawn and lifted a rectangular piece of artificial lawn, a "Turftop" she told me gleefully. What a clever idea why didn’t I think of it. I was eager to know more. The Turftop is like a piece of turf only it does not dry out and you do not have to water it. The colour and texture is amazingly lifelike and it felt soft and warm when I touched it. I ran my hand across the grassy texture and marvelled at how tactile it felt, as well as the Turftop hiding unsightly manholes it also has therapeutic abilities making it comfortable to sit upon. My friend told me that the Turftop comes in all different shapes and sizes and the Turftops Company will even cut them to size for you. Turftops have Velcro like tape on the reverse which connects to the manhole and the Turftop itself making it easy to lift on and off so on windy days the Turftop won’t blow away in the wind. I bought mine directly from www.turftops.com and they were very helpful indeed. I was also surprised how inexpensive it was and now I really do have a lovely lawn with no unsightly manholes. I think it is a brilliant idea and I Just wanted to share it with like minded gardeners who have the same problem that I did.
