Lots of florists advertise Grand Prix roses, does anyone know which variety of roses these are to grow in a home garden or are they simply larger roses.

Another triumph of marketing over common sense. Grand Prix is not the name of a rose, rather it is a name which is used to market large long-stemmed cut roses, mostly red but often in other colours.

A Grand Prix rose is a red hybrid tea, and the variety of rose that was used in V for Vendetta where it was called a 'Scarlet Carson' for story purposes.

It is a real type of rose, and not just a marketing tactic. It has the largest bloom of any rose you are likely to see.
