Importing seeds into UK

| hi all
does anyone know the law regarding importing seeds to the Uk from non EC countries, I have read alot of legistlation on it but cant get a definate answer.
Has anyone ever tried importing seeds and do you know the processe that need to be gone through to get them into the country safe and sound.
any ideas welcome

| Page 17 of this document" has a table showing which seed imports from which countries required a phytosanitary certificate. Most ornamentals don't and can be imported freely. A very few species of seed cannot be imported from outside the EU. Watch out for CITES seed which may have further restrictions, but again not very many of these. |
