Vine - Vitis Muscat Blue (edible)

Planted this vine next to a South facing wall September 2003 so this is its second FULL year.
It's growing well has lots of leaves, no sign of disease but no blossoms so far.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong. It's planted in well drained soil with a gravel covering, is in full sun for most of the day and the branches are 'trained' horizontally.
I would have thought it would have had some blossoms by now as the instructions say 'remove the blossoms in the first year'!
Any information would be appreciated as I can't wait to taste my first grapes.

Have done some research on the web and evidently it's advisable to prune new growth for the first two years to get good root and trunk growth. It has blossoms in the third year. Will wait and see (not very good at this patience lark) [lol] Sue |
