Hi there, I am fairly new to the forums, and there does not seem to be any threads related to dayliles like in the US.
Are there any other collectors in the UK.

Hi! Yes, I love Daylilies and have some blooming this year that I grew from seeds bought from the US 3 years ago. Most of mine are pale colours so I'm hoping to get some really dark ones to balance them out a little. Would also like a nice white one :o))

I love daylilies. I started collecting them this spring. I now have about 22! I am looking forward to experimenting with seeds. I grew 2 types from seed in January, after putting the seeds in the fridge for about 5 weeks in baggies. Does anyone else do this, or just leave them in pots outside in winter? I have just bought and built a greenhouse, so I now have more scope for growing. I look forward to comparing experiences and methods. As I am quite new to this, I look forward to any advice. I have been reading quite a lot on the subject, especially about hybridization. I find it fascinating.

RE: Hemerocallis/Daylily

Hi,

I am a recent daylily addict. I don't have a vast number as I only have a small garden but have managed to get some nice ones. I have tried some from seed from the US also but only started them this year so it will be a good while yet before they flower. I don't have a greenhouse so just started them outside in April and nearly all germinated.
