my french beans(climbing)have some sort of rust on the leaves any cures etc

the leaves start to look grim as they age - just pull em off.

Hi mikew, could it possibly be that they are too dry, probably as wise to find the cause but if it is not affecting your crop as campanula said just remove them, check out the water situation, they are thirsy plants. I put in a load of runners over the last few years and they never dissapoint.

Oh and even more important, have you fed them, well rotted and well dug in horse manure followed by fairly regular liquid or granular feed, and the water should do the trick.
