Earwigs!

| Has anyone else had a big earwig problem this year? We have a polytunnel and usually the problem in there is aphids. Not this year, virtually no aphids, but loads and loads of earwigs! I have read the old 'upturned flower-pot-full-of-straw on a cane advice, loads of times. Tried it (well, with shredded paper from an office shredder!) but found only one earwig after several goes, and I gave up after that.
I'd be interested to hear any advice or ideas anyone might have on how to deal with them. They have done loads of damage over the course of the growing season, inside and outside.
Cheers

| Shredded paper won't be very attractive to them (too 'clean' and dry). Try damp straw, as the old remedy suggests, or loose bark off a dead tree. Resin |
