 o
Herbal & Traditional Remedies

I've just received an e-mail from a friend who is a homeopath, asking me to sign a petition.

There is a proposal to make it illegal to buy vitamin or health/nutritional supplements without a doctor's prescription after 9th December 2009.

If this law (called Codex alimentarius) is passed, it's likely only the large pharmaceutical companies will be able to make and sell our traditional natural remedies, just as they have patented the traditional medicines of tribal peoples, and just as only the big seed companies can afford to have their seeds tested, making it illegal to sell many traditional varieties of vegetables.

If you're not in favour of giving this opportunity to the big companies to make more profit, you can sign the petitionon on the No. 10 website: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/Vitamins/

There hasn't been much publicity about this, and the petition on the No. 10 website has to be signed by 5th September, so please click on the link and sign the Petition NOW!.
