Any Garden Event in London Oct 13-17?

I know that there is no RHS London show any of these days but is there anything else going on Friday to Monday, 13-l7 October? My husband and I will not stray too far from London because of lack of time, not even to Wisley, but perhaps there is a garden center worth visiting, autumn sales, or such? I have been to the Chelsea Gardener and Clifton Nurseries but would prefer something less posh.

Try this link for Yellow book scheme open gardens:

This one seems to be the only one while you are there:

There are a few others if you are prepared to go as far as Kent or Surrey.

Have you ever been to Kew Gardens? http://www.kew.org/

You may find some local flower and vegetable shows, or orchid shows.

Here is a link that might be useful: an open garden

Thanks for the tip! I had forgotten Kew. I have visited in spring but I am sure it is worth seeing in every season.

Mariannese,

Whilst you're in Kew, maybe you'd like to check out the Palm Centre nearby. They have lots of exotics - palms, bamboos, arid plants etc.

There are also many garden centres and plant cash 'n carries in Enfield, North London.
