Feeding Slugs & Snails to Wildlife

I have plenty of ideas for capturing slugs and snails (without poisoning them), but rather than putting these pests in the dustbin or otherwise disposing of them I want to feed them to birds, hedgehogs etc. - I would be grateful for ideas for suitable feeder arrangements.

I hoik mine out into the middle of the driveway or street where they should be easy pickins' for the birds!

If you put them in a container of some kind surrounded by a moat filled with water, they will be unable to escape and will simply have to await their doom.

I must confess that I stamp on mine, so much do they fill me with hatred.

I don't know about your slugs but the so-called Spanish wood slug, Arion lusitanicus, that is spreading fast throughout Sweden, is not eaten by wildlife in Sweden. They prefer our native slugs, the common garden slug and the black slug. I understand the birds, the natives are lovable compared to the Spanish murder slug, as it's popularly known. Do you have it? If not, beware. It came with imported pot plants.
