| My mum has a pear tree on which the pear skins were blotchy and hard this year. I understand that there is something you can put round the trunk of the pear tree at this time of year to prevent insects climbing up. Can anyone tell me what to buy please? |

| The description sounds more like a fungal disease than insects. If so, a grease band round the trunk won't help. Resin |
