International Seed Swap

| I'm expecting seeds from people in about ten countries to join in this year's swap - but hardly anyone from the UK has expressed an interest so far. Am I the only seedaholic here?
So far, there are over 200 packets of seed in the kitty, including lots of new ones, and several new participants this time.
Please get in touch (or send me your seeds to add to the kitty - my address hasn't changed) if you'd like to join in. |

| to be honest i'd love to be able to get people from other countries to send me seeds.....but i've never been interested in blind seed swaps. i mean i know you're gonna get something perrenial that isn't commonly bought.....but chances are it won't be something of my taste. I onyl like certain types of things in my garden...and the hassle of sending your seeds and not getting something you want in return is pointless really. I'd rather that i made friends with someone in a country where i can get certain seeds. |

| I'd like to be able to arrange individual swaps with people all over the world as I used to, but now we can't contact one another by posting on the Garden Web Seed Exchange, it's a lot more difficult to do that. That's why I've been organising these big swaps for the last few years. I'm fussy about what I grow in my garden, too, and I've got seeds of several interesting plants through these swaps. As many people have joined in several times, I assume they have too. I've listed some of the seeds so far in this year's kitty on the link. I hope all this year's participants will be happy with what they get back in November. |

| I'm very interested in the seed swap. I'll be relocating from So. California to Bristol in September. I hear any seeds brought into the UK must be in special seed packets approved by the gov. Where can I get these? I would like to bring alot of American flowers and veggies with me. I'm trying to find seeds for a giant sequoia to bring with me as well. Are there any plants that are NOT allowed in the UK, so I dont' bring those seeds with me. Autumn |

| I'll be doing another swap in October, I hope. There are no special requirements about bringing seeds into the UK, no permits or Certificates are required for ordinary garden seeds. No special envelopes, either! There are a few seeds not allowed in, but they aren't ordinary garden seeds. Contact DEFRA for details, if you want to bring something in but aren't sure if it's allowed. |

Hi i'm a new gardner but I would like a few kind of different fruit trees or possibly a few fig seeds!!!! but all I have to trade are cauliflower, okra, green bean and pea seeds to trade so if anybody wants some of them or just wants to give me a few free seeds that would be great! Thanks, Jamie. |
