| Hi all
My Mum is going to buy me a pair of knee pads for Christmas, I've wanted some for ages so I'm really pleased. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have been looking on the net and their are SO many to choose from! Solid types, gel-filled, neoprene, all sorts.
Any advice from people have have used knee pads would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

| I bought some really cheap ones from Wilkinson's about four years ago. They do up with elasticated velcro straps. They have been brilliant. They never come undone, however much grubbing around I do, and they protect my knees very well from sharp bits of bark etc. They cost me 99p or 1.99, can't quite remember which, and I'm only now thinking of replacing them. |

Hi Pond Wow, I'm impressed with the cheapness of your knee pads - I was looking at really dear ones and worried that they might not be any good, and look at yours - that's brilliant! I was looking at a site, tooled-up.com, where they had these really mega ones with gel-filled parts - I want to make sure what ever I end up is nice and waterproof. Claire |

| Don't go for the ones with holes in for the straps. They also let water through. Resin |

| Aha, interesting point. I have been wondering about waterproofness; I saw some really good looking gel ones on the net but the gel area looked a bit small, and there is no way of knowing if the surrounding areas are waterproof. They were for floor-laying! Holes for the straps. I will look out for that. Thanks! |
