| ...until I made my first visit to the UK this summer. Spent time in Glasgow Botanical Gardens, Kew Gardens, Iona, Glastonbury, Collett Park in Shepton-Mallet...

| Botanical gardens tend to make me feel like I'm not a gardener too! Mind you I've only been gardening for under 10 years. It's fun though, seeing what can be done on a large scale and then maybe incorporating an idea or two. You covered quite a distance on one trip, didn't you? |

Many, but not all. Here in the NW corner of the U.S., the climate is similiar to a lot of the UK. That's why I pop in here on this Forum from time to time. A picture of some conifers in Westonbirt Arboretum, Glouceshire I saw in a tree book inspired my garden's design. That and a trip to North Devon near Bideford where I toured a garden called Marwood. Absolutely lovely! Oh, and two days at Kew Gardens while staying in Soho. I hope to return someday. |

Let us know next time you come for another list! Lost gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Wisley, Harlow Carr,, Westonbirt, Chatsworth, Chelsea Flower Show.... Next time you'll have to try to visit one of the big flower shows. |

| I spent several years in Scotland one of my favorite haunts was the Royal Botanical Garden Edinburgh. |
