Froglife are doing a survey this year of garden amphibians.
It's VERY simple to do, so please could everyone try to do it.
You can download the form here http://www.herpetofauna.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2328&PN=1
or ask them to post you one here: http://www.froglife.org/ContactUs.htm

Allright, have to start boasting now....we have frogspawn in Devon starting on the 22nd of January. Not as much as usual, and the lads are still waiting. Last year we had two lots laid about 2 weeks apart so I am hoping. Hoping they are hopping??

Hey, do you know what the frog said about the froglife website??

Read-it Read-it

Sorry, read it on a kid's site and thought I would adapt it...

oh dear and I thought I was the only one to be amused at childrens jokes.
Chip just wanted to say that Tricia is in Devon and she has large clumps of frogspawn and long strips of toadspawn in her pond at the moment. Are they earlier in Devon than normal this year as we further up north have seen frog activity but no spawn yet. it is normally towards March so is earlier than normal up here but obviously nowhere near you in the south.

Hiya

I think Devon (Cornwall as well) is early, and this year 3 weeks earlier than last year which means there is the frost problem. Already hatching! Lucky Tricia for the toadspawn. We have toads and very small ones, but never seen toadspawn in pond (but there are places for it to hide).

When we do---there will be very excited postings!

Today 24th March still lots of activity.
