upgrade of Bioforce 4500

The glass cover of the bulb has broken (water seeped in etc.) and I should like to replace the Bioforce 4500 with a larger capacity filter. The 4500 struggled and during the "busy" season needed filters cleaning daily. I am out of date with the current range of filters available and should like advice on suggestions on what to replace it with and best prices please.
Thanks very much. |

Hi Jo Thanks for the reply. I have had the 4500 for 4 years and the bulb glass cover has broken and wetted all the bits. Because I was having to wash the filters on a daily basis, I have decided to upgrade. I've done some research and think I'll go for the 9000 which I have found for a very reasonable £72. We have a problem with baby ducklings, moorhens and even sometimes cygnets gaining illegal access to the pond (they squeeze under or through the netting!) which is why it gets so dirty in the Summer. |

| hope it works for you. we upgraded to a pair of large pressure filters when we enlarged the pond and found them a little "wanting" we now use them as uv clarifiers and "heavy" partical filters (best bit is they can be backwashed) then installed a gravity filter after the pressure ones. hey presto - problem sorted. good luck, be interested to know how you find it ? jo o/ |
